forever home!

a week ago, my lady woke up early. she told me that she had to go to her job. i missed her when she went to that place. but i had my buddies to keep me company. we spend our day playing in the yard. but the lady told me today was going to be different. i was going to the adoption event with out her! but she gave me lots of love & told me that today i was meeting a special family! she was very excited for me. i liked to hear that i was going to meet new people. i love people!
after getting lots of hugs, the man, the kids & i all got into the van. we went to petco & i got to see all the people and dogs there! it's always fun, even if sometimes i would get nervous. then they came. the nice people came & met me! i was really excited. they walked me around. they were very, very nice! then the man told me that i would be going home with them & this would be my forever home!
finally!! after being lost in the world, full of cactus needles, to the shelter where i was very scared. to trusting people, and meeting the lady. to being stuck in the shelter for three months, to being adopted and then returned to the shelter after feeling a soft bed for such a short time. to going home with the nice lady & her family - i finally found my forever family! i was so excited! i was so happy! i know i'm a good dog and i know that i finally have found a place where i will be loved, and have lots of pets, days of fun, delicious food, and the worlds softest bed. i have finally gotten there! and i am a happy, happy dog! ============================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================ as brownie's foster mom, i would like to thank everyone in saving this boys life! my family and i had such a great love for him, that it was our pleasure to open our home (and the foot of our bed) to this fantastic dog! we want to thank rose at east valley new life rescue for pulling this boy & helping us through our first fostering experience. i'd like to thank the shelter staff & volunteers for looking out for brownie while he was there for so long. everyone who came across him fell instantly in love & he was treated very well with extra snacks & milkbones, because everyone was so smitten with his big goofy face & loving "hugs" through the bars. i want to thank my husband who was very reluctant to bring in a 'strange' dog into our home, but went on to become just as attached & love with brownie as the rest of us. and of course, i want to thank his forever mom, jennifer for seeing brownie's picture on petfinder & coming out to meet this great dog that so many people cared for & loved - and seeing that goodness in this dog, who was days away from being put to sleep.
