home alone

today the lady, the man & the kids left me home alone while they went to do things all day. i think it's called a job, or school. i don't know, i'm only a dog! but while they were gone, i stayed in my kennel & slept. it was so soft. i did get bored, but the lady left me a toy with treats in it to chew. the lady told me she was scared to leave me alone when she went to her job. she didn't know if i would get scared to be in her house, or scared of the other dogs. i felt just fine! i think because the lady takes me for walks in the morning before she leaves and plays with me in the yard when she gets home, taking a long nap in my kennel is just fine. i'm a large boy & can use the rest! i get an extra walk at night. i sure get tired from so much activity, but it keeps me happy when the people are all gone during the day. i sure do enjoy playing with all the other dogs here too. there is a small dog that looks like a chihuahua, a girl dog that is pretty big and two other boy dogs. i have fun with all of them - big or small, boys or girls!

even after i sleep during the day, i do get so tired - the lady even let me sleep on the bed for a while! the lady told me today that she was kind of nervous taking a dog that had been at the shelter for so long to an adoption event right away. but i'm so happy and behaving like such a good dog, she thinks that i will be able to go to the adoption event & maybe even be adopted this saturday! if you want to come see me in person, you can email the lady or go out to the queen creek petco from 11-3pm on saturdays to adopt me, or any of the other dogs looking for their forever home!
