waking up on a soft bed

for the first time in so long, i woke up on a nice soft bed! i sleep in a kennel at night while i get to learn my new place. the lady says that once i get to know all the other dogs her, she might let me sleep outside of the kennel at night. it's ok. i sleep like a baby! and it's so much nicer than in the shelter! after the lady woke up, she took me outside to strech my legs. i went outside through her 'doggie door'! i like doggie doors. i can go outside whenever i want. i get to play outside & i use the bathroom outside. the lady says that makes me a good dog! i love when i hear i am a good dog. after i went outside & the lady let me play for a while, she told me to go back into my kennel. she works at the shelter in the morning, so i went back into my kennel. she was gone for a few hours, so i slept. it was nice and soft. when she got back, we went for a long walk - a nice hike! she took me and another dog out on a leash. after we walked for a long time, there was a pond. the lady didn't know this, but i LOVE water! i jumped right in and got to play! the other dog also liked it, so we played together. it was so much fun.

after swimming we went back home. i love riding in cars too. looking out the window is fun. i am kind of nervous getting into the car, becasue i remember that sometimes when i rode in a car, i would be taken to the shelter. the lady is very gentle & helps me get into the car. once we start riding, i feel much better! the lady & man took me to a pet store & bought me some new toys. i got some new tennis balls and a big bone. i even got some yummy chicken & rice that i got to eat when we got home. i'm having so much fun.
